Satelite Uplink in Israel and Palestine
There are many fiber-optic points we can access, both in Israel and the West Bank. In addition, a mobile uplink truck can be dispatched to practically any location in Israel or Palestine, as well as in most locations near the cities listed above. Satellite uplink services are provided by several flyaway SNG (Satellite News Gathering) trucks and many ground stations, through fiber-optic connections or via microwave. We also have our own OB vans available.
An mobile uplink unit can serve a live report to camera on location or in a studio, playout VTR services or both.
In order to coordinate the uplink we must know the details of the receiving station: their location, the satellites they have access to, and contact details of the person in charge. In addition to satellite transmission services, we often provide an upload service of either low-resolution or high-resolution excerpts of footage to an FTP site. We can provide this service overnight from both the Tel Aviv and Ramallah offices.
