We are a one stop video, film and TV production house, specializing in catering to the needs and requirements of international customers from all over the world, visiting producers and camera crews. In the last decade, Highlight Films has provided camera crews and production services and facilities for hundreds of American, European and other international film and video productions arriving to Israel and Palestine. We offer a wide range of production facilities for news, documentary and corporate film and video productions - from research and ideas to filming, editing and feed uplink services, all managed by our experienced producers throughout Israel and the Palestinian West Bank.
We are proud to say that we work with the best film and video professionals in Israel and Palestine - our producers, fixers, camera crews, post production staff are all fluent in English (many of them speak other languages as well) and very experienced in international productions. We can provide any video camera shoot or audio production services while keeping the budget low and using our accumulated experience to achieve an efficient and successful production.
Many believe that it is impossible for Israelis and Palestinians to work together. We prove the opposite, and we are proud to continue this cooperation on a daily basis. In many productions the visiting filming crews or production crews have to cross back and forth between Israeli and Palestinian territories. We know how to plan it right and which ways and procedures to follow in order to make the crossing quick and efficient.
Our client base includes production companies, broadcasters and independent producers mainly from the US, Europe and Asia, as well as commercial companies, non-profit organizations and government agencies. Our level of involvement in each production varies: we often manage the local side of the production from its inception, following it beginning with the development phase and continuing with the actual production until completion. In other projects we would join the process in a later phase and handle all or parts of the production process. Our customers are production companies and broadcasters from all over the world, as well as public and private organizations and commercial companies.
Formats: our camera crews and video editors work in all camera formats: DV, DVCAM, Beta SP, Digital Beta, HDV, HDCAM and XDCAM, all in PAL and NTSC.
Our camera crews are equipped with both Sony and Panasonic high definition cameras.
Film: Film cameras and professional film camera crews are available in Israel (35mm / 16mm), but be advised that there are no commercial processing labs in the country.
Production Studio Our Israel production studios are located on the outskirts of Tel Aviv, minutes from two major highways and within 15 minutes drive of central Tel Aviv and the airport. Our Palestine production studio is located in the city center of Ramallah.
Filming Studio
We have access to a variety of filming studios in Israel: from small news presenter booths to fully equipped multi-camera studios.
Editing Facilities
Our Editors are the best video editors in Israel and Palestine. Our edit Suites are available with or without an editor. Our professional editing standards are high: Highlight Films' top-of-the-line editing equipment includes all required software, hardware, High Definition and standard definition VTRs, professional HD monitors, sound mixers and other accessories.
We are fully equipped to digitize, edit, record and play out all HD formats, as well as DVCAM, DV, DVCPRO and other SD formats.
All our facilities are updated with the latest software versions. Our technical services include Avid Offline and online suites, format transfer, DVD and CD duplication, FTP upload and download, as well as satellite feed uplink and downlink.
Media Production Studio
Our in-house studio is capable of dealing with most digital and analog video and audio formats. In addition to editing and video post-production, we can produce full-featured DVD's, CD's and streaming and compressed video files. We aspire to be able to provide complete production services under one roof, so if you need a machine, a software or a certain procedure we cannot provide, we will make sure you will have it...
Aerial Filming
Our extensive archive includes several hours of HD aerial footage filmed above all areas of Israel. If you require additional filming, we can arrange for a helicopter specially fit for any professional camera. In some cases your cameraman can fly, while in other cases an Israeli cameraman will have to film for you. We will arrange all flight permits, equipment and shoot plan.
Production services underwater We provide underwater production services in the Israel Mediterranean shores (Caesarea, Jaffa, Rosh Hanikra) and in the Bay of Eilat. Professional underwater cameramen will film in waterproof HDV or DVCAM cameras.
Production Services International
Since we are also producing our own films, both in Israel and around the world, we have created a useful network of service providers around the world. In 2008-9, we coordinated shoots in Jordan, Lebanon, South Africa, Norway, United Kingdom, in three different states in the US and in Canada. We are now planning a shoot in Mexico and Argentina. If your production takes place in several locations around the world, we can help you plan it efficiently and find the local service providers you can trust and enjoy working with.
Television Production Services
Highlight Films has more than ten years of experience in producing television projects in Israel, Palestine, Jordan and throughout the Middle East - from studio programs to documentary films, reality formats, documentary feature filmsand others. We will assemble the best local camera crewspossible in Israel, the Palestinian West Bank, Gaza Strip or elswhere in the Middle East for you to work with, and we can assure you the highest professional levels on all fronts.
Documentary Feature Film We are now producing three documentary feature films, so we are aware of the complexity of such productions and we clearly understand the difference between the production of a "simple" one-hour doc to the production of a documentary feature film. All the services we offer for documentary filmsand film productionsare applicable to the production of documentary feature films as well.
Documentary Film Footage
Our HD and SD picture archiveis unique in many ways. Most of it was filmed by experienced documentary cameramen, who were on location shooting a documentary film or getting footage completions for one. Many of the tapes were filmed for our own films, following the most significant events and locations in the recent historyof Israel and Palestine, are part of our footage library. If your documentary film is happening elsewhere, and you need only a few minutes from Israel, we assure you that we can get the best suitable footage for you at the highest quality available.
