Satelite Uplink in Israel and Palestine
Satellite uplink is available from any point in Israel, the West Bank and Gaza. There are many fiber-optic points we can access, both in Israel and the West Bank. In addition, a mobile uplink truck can be dispatched to practically any location in Israel or Palestine. Satelite uplink services in Israel are provided by several SNG (Satellite News Gathering) trucks and many ground stations, through fiber optic connections or via satelite.
An uplink can serve a live report to camera on location or in a studio, playout VTR services or both.
In order to coordinate the uplink we have to know the details of the receiving station: the location, the satellites they have access to, and contact details of the person in charge. In addition to satellite transmission services, we often provide an upload service of either low-resolution or high-resolution excerpts of footage to an FTP site. We can provide this service overnight from the Tel Aviv office.
