HIGH DEFINITION IN PALESTINEHighlight Films provides High Definition cameras and crews in Palestine and throughout the Middle East.
We began filming with HD cameras in the Palestinian West Bank in 2002, and continued to equip crews with the various Sony cameras. We recently purchased a new HDW900R, the most advanced High Definition camcorder model by Sony.
In other video, documentary and corporate productions, we prefer using one of our Sony HDV Z1 camera sets. In several cases we incorporated video from HD with HDV footage and the results were more than satisfactory. As the only production company in Israel and Palestine to have its own HD camera, we are regularly editing and going through all phases of post-production with HDV tapes, but as far as online and colour correction we use other studios in Israel to work on HD tapes. We plan to equip our editing rooms with full HD abilities by the end of 2008. Cameramen / DOP Our cameraman Hanna Abu Saada is the most experienced HD cameraman / DOP in Palestine. In the last few years Hanna filmed documentary and dramatic productions using various HD cams in Israel, Palestine and Jordan. In addition, we are working with the leading Israeli and Palestinian HD cameramen, and with several camera assistants who know the Sony HDW900 models inside and out. In 2007 we used HD cams in many commercial, documentary and dramatic productions in Israel and Palestine, as well as in Jordan, Poland and South Africa. More about HD filming in Palestine Archive
Our footage archive is constantly updated with new HD footage.
