Many independent filmmakers prefer the Sony HDV camera format. Although not fully compatible with HDCAM, its picture quality is far better than DVCAM camcorders.
HDV Camera We have chosen the Sony HDV Z1 as our leading HDV camera. We use it for documentary films, TV reports and when possible, as a second unit for a corporate or infomercial HDCAM video shoot. Among many documentary filmmakers in Israel, HDV filmmaking had already replaced the Sony DVCAM PD series and equivalent models.
In several productions we have successfully complemented HDCAM footage with HDV video additions.
Highlight Films provides filmmakers arriving to Israel with camera sets or accessories: If you bring your own cam, we can equip you with a tripod, light and sound equipment. We have two of our own Z1 cameras available for our productions in Israel and Palestine.

We offer two editing suites - AVID / FINAL CUT - for offline and online HDV editing.
HDV Archive footage Since January 2006 we have gathered excellent HDV footage in various locations
in Israel.
