FACING THE DRAGONNovember 19, 2001. A group of 16 Israeli rafters arrive in China - their mission: to descend one of the most notorious stretches of the mighty Yangtze river: the 'Great Bend'. For 15 days, in sub-zero temperatures, they braved the Yangtze, experiencing danger, difficulties, wild rapids and white water. Director Rani Magar, cameraman Rony Calderon and sound recordist Doron Danin joined the rafters in order to produce a nature-reality project, following the unique adventure of six participants in the expedition, from six personal points of view.
