CO-PRODUCTIONSAt Highlight Films we believe that we can a local partner for your production. We often co-produce with film and TV prducers who are looking for international partners, especially in productions taking place in various locations around the world.
The co-production can be initiated in the preliminary development phase or later, along the production time line. We are currently co-producing several documentary projects with European, American and Palestinian partners. The key rule for a successful co-production is for both partners to feel that they gain as much as they give... The public funds that support Israeli documentary films are willing to consider co-productions as original Israeli productions, therefore the formatting of a production as a coproduction often generates additional funding sources. Current co-productions: "The Persecution and Assassination of Dr. Israel Kasztner" - co-produced with GR Films, New York. Sales & Distribution: When we begin a co-production, we approach broadcasters that we are personally familiar with and offer them to join the project. In an early phase of the production, we contact one of the leading distribution companies in order to help us find a co-producer, make a pre-sale or sell the completed product.
